Why TechCon exists
TechCon Anambra exists to create a shared platform for the people and organisations shaping Anambra’s digital economy.
The idea
Shared platformAnambra already has businesses, talent, universities, technology companies, innovators, institutions and communities doing important work. Those parts of the ecosystem rarely meet in one place, with a shared picture of the landscape and a shared sense of what to do next.
TechCon is that place: once a year, in person, with evidence on the table and commitments at the end of it. It is the flagship gathering, and the work continues between editions: research, ecosystem conversations and working groups that keep things moving.
TechCon has roots. It began as a technology community conference organised by the Anambra Techies Community. This chapter keeps that foundation and widens the frame, from a technology community to a whole digital economy.

EVIDENCE BEFORE ASSUMPTIONS.
The work starts with what can be shown, not what is assumed. The State of Anambra’s Digital Economy report anchors the conversation.

CONVERSATION SHOULD LEAD SOMEWHERE.
Sessions are designed to produce positions, priorities and commitments, not applause and a lanyard.

THE ECOSYSTEM OWNS THE SOLUTION.
No single institution can build a digital economy alone. TechCon convenes; the people in the room decide what happens next.

THE WORK CONTINUES AFTER THE EVENT.
The gathering lasts a day. Working groups, commitments and shared priorities carry the work through the year.

PROGRESS SHOULD BE MEASURABLE.
What was promised is reported on openly, once a year, in front of the same room.
Building in public

The next chapter of TechCon Anambra has not taken place yet. Speakers, partners, showcase participants, attendance figures, venues and confirmed commitments will appear on this site only once they are agreed. Until then, you will see words likecoming soon, to be announced and indicative.
That is not a lack of ambition. It is the standard the platform will be held to for the next ten years.
